The Discart musicproduktion started back in 1981 when owner Dietmar Schmidt established his company Sundance Music in Bremen, Germany. A wide range of upcoming artists such as Kaleidoskop, Syndikat, Raga Muffin Band, Hamburg Blues Band had been recorded at the Sundance Recording Studio. In 1990 the company moved to Copenhagen to enter a partneship with Stunt Records owned by Peter Littauer. The next 19 years more than 400 album releases had been created. Since 2009 Discart started as an independent company focusing on selected artists with

high international potential.
